I feel having ways to escape daily life is so important, especially when you have a long term illness and mental health issues. Escaping is about finding moments to allow yourself to feel content and to get lost in a book, song or even just taking a walk. Allowing yourself to have a break is key to overcoming struggles.

My favourite way of escapism is through music, the powerful words and hypnotising melodies have always been healing for me. Attending concerts is my favourite way of getting lost in the songs and really enjoying the power of music.

I've always been a creative person, I have always enjoyed creating art by drawing and even with my fashion. I have recently rekindled my love for painting. It has quickly become an easy way for me to  relax and escape.
